Terra Rossa Restaurant
Islington based Italian restaurant Terra Rossa convey both culture and tradition of the Apulia region. Family-owned, it retains a homely character throughout the space.
The spacious central area has been designed to provide a family and cosy atmosphere. Taking direct inspiration from the centennial doily traditional & and craft, every detail has been specifically designed and produced bespoke.
Over three hundred round white doilies were knitted in Apulia and shipped over, to create a series of lampshades juxtaposed along with the ceiling. They were arranged at different heights to diffuse the light and create stunning projections of light and shadows.
Special attention is dedicated to the choice of material: wood floor and cladding, brick walls and raw soil are introduced to deliver a sustainable look and feel.
