The House of The Lost Frescoes
Affresco-in-bianco-e-nero-1.jpg

A surprising discovery during the refurbishment of a historical Turin-based studio has turned this project in an extraordinary design experience!  An XVII century fresco has been discovered and therefore fully restored, only leaving out a small section in a corner of the ceiling, (which was unrepairable).

This corner and its double-height gave the opportunity to create an important (service column), which has been designed to host a ground-floor bathroom and a changing room just above.

The unusual six meters height has been used to build a mezzanine to host a cosy bedroom.

An original 18th century spiral staircase was found in an antique centre and specifically restored to fit this wonderful space.
